On June 3, the 13th Chinese Dance Lotus Award for Classical Dance was announced, Musicians produced by the School of Dance in Shenyang Conservatory of Music won the honor.
The Chinese Dance Lotus Award, held every two years, is considered as the highest honor of Chinese dance art. Known as the most authoritative expert award of Chinese dance, it has been successfully held for 12 times since 1998. This winning work fills the blank in the field of music and dance of the Liao Dynasty, becomes a historical and cultural symbol of Liaoning, and exerts positive and practical impact on activating the vitality of cultural innovation and creation.
A total of 185 works are submitted from 25 provinces, autonomous regions or municipalities for the 13th Chinese Dance Lotus Award, and 47 of them are finally shortlisted for the final evaluation. There are 7 classical dance works from Liaoning in the final evaluation, which makes Liaoning the province with the most shortlisted works, and this year marks the most shortlisted works in Liaoning ever. The seven works include both profound excavation of traditional culture and the inheritance of the spirit of literature and art in the new era, showing the proactive exploration of the creative transformation and innovative development of the fine Chinese traditional culture.
