Every year, from late September to mid-October, a great visual feast of maple leaves is presented in Liaoning Province. From Fushun City, Benxi City and Dandong City in eastern Liaoning Province to Chaoyang City and Huludao City in western Liaoning Province, the fiery maple leaves can be seen on hillsides, valleys, riversides and roadsides. Known as the “City of Maple” in China, Benxi City is the top choice for enjoying autumn maples. More than 100 mountains and 200 rivers in the city are available for maple leaves viewing, so visitors don’t have to stick to one mountain or one spot.
