On July 3, the “2023 Foreign Students Touring Liaoning” event was held in Shenyang City and Benxi City. Themed by “Understand China·Charming Liaoning”, the event aims to invite foreign university students to experience excellent traditional Chinese culture and feel the achievements in the development of Liaoning Province in various aspects, so as to better tell Liaoning’s stories and promote in-depth exchanges between teenagers in China and abroad.

The event was hosted by the Liaoning Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Benxi People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and was organized by Liaoning University. Twenty students from the Confucius Institute jointly established by Liaoning University and Dakar University of Senegal participated in the event. They paid visits to Shenyang Laobeishi Chinese Character Theme Study, Benxi Water Cave and Liaoning Institute of Science and Technology, and were excited to learn and experience calligraphy, paper cutting and other traditional Chinese culture and arts. It is said that students from Russia and other countries will also come to Liaoning Province to participate in the “Understand China·Charming Liaoning” event.
