Direct Shipping Routes from Dalian to the Philippines Expand to Four
七月 11,2023

On July 5, with the successful arrival of the vessel “T.S. Bangkok” operated by T.S. Lines at Berth 12 of Dalian Port Container Terminal, the direct shipping route of T.S. Lines from Dalian to the Philippines was officially put into operation, adding another RCEP regional container route for Liaoning Port Group.

Over the years, T.S. Lines has been deeply engaged in the Dalian-Southeast Asia market, and its business has been gradually expanding. This route is T.S. Lines’ first self-operated foreign trade container shipping route at the Dalian Port. The company plan to deploy five 1800 TEU container vessels on this route, increasing the direct shipping routes from Dalian to the Philippines to four. The operation of the new route provides a new maritime channel for the outbound expansion of hinterland cargo, which is of positive significance in reducing the comprehensive logistics costs of foreign trade enterprises.

Dalian Port opened a green channel, further reducing vessel clearance time. With the support of smart port projects such as “intelligent scheduling” and “trailer pool”, and through scientific planning and coordination, the loading and unloading operations of this voyage were completed, providing customers with efficient and high-quality port services.

Since the official implementation of RCEP, Liaoning Port Group has effectively utilized policy advantages to expand its Southeast Asia shipping network. The Group has opened multiple container shipping routes to RCEP member states, ensuring comprehensive coverage of core ports in RCEP member states. The successful launch of this route represents a significant step for Liaoning Port Group in implementing the “Expanding Capacity and Enhancing Services” policy. It also serves as a remarkable achievement in its active integration into the Belt and Road Initiative, contributing to the development of the outward-oriented economy in Northeast China. It has positive significance for further enhancing the port’s radiation driving capacity and promoting economic and trade cooperation between Northeast China and ASEAN.
