On October 10, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference for the 2023 Global Industrial Internet Conference, to introduce Liaoning’s achievements in industrial internet innovation and provide an overview of the arrangements for main activities of this conference.
The 2023 Global Industrial Internet Conference will be held from October 18 to 20 in Shenyang, Liaoning. With the theme of “Empowering New Industrialization, Generating New Productivity”, it will feature a series of events including the opening ceremony, keynote forums, engagements on digital transformation for the manufacturing industry, thematic forums, parallel forums, evening chats, and an exhibition showcasing achievements in industrial internet innovation.
Compared with previous sessions, this year’s conference has several new features:
Leadership. During the opening ceremony, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will release the latest progress report, including the “Report on the Innovation Development in the Industrial Internet (2023)”. The innovation exhibition this year will invite 110 companies such as Huawei and CASICloud, to demonstrate advanced technologies and innovation achievements in the industrial internet from diverse perspectives.
Professionalism. Renowned experts, scholars, and representatives from domestic and foreign companies will be invited to deliver keynote speeches. Besides, the conference will feature more than ten thematic forums, focusing on cutting-edge fields and future industries such as AI-powered large language models + other AI applications and the Industrial Metaverse, to facilitate discussions on the newest theories and practical achievements.
Effectiveness. Investment attraction remains a priority focus. During the opening ceremony, a cooperative agreement will be signed by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Liaoning Provincial People’s Government, and Northeastern University, to jointly establish the “Think Tank for Strategic Research on Industrial Internet”. Similarly, the Shenyang Municipal People’s Government will sign strategic cooperation agreements with companies such as iSoftStone and CASICloud. The Dalian Municipal People’s Government will seek cooperation with China Unicom, Huawei, and other enterprises. Additionally, Ansteel Group will also sign strategic cooperation agreements with China Broadnet, ZTE Corporation, and others.
Internationality. This year, Industrial Internet Forums between China-Germany, China-Japan, and China-South Korea, as well as the Global Forum on Digital Economy for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, will continue. In addition, over ten experts and scholars from Germany, Japan, and beyond, as well as more than 30 prestigious foreign-funded enterprises such as Siemens and SAP, will participate in the conference to engage in technical exchanges and share their experiences.
Distinctiveness. During the opening ceremony, Shenyang will unveil a plaque for the Manufacturing Digital Transformation Innovation Center. Meanwhile, provincial enterprises and research institutes such as Shenyang Blower Works Group Corporation (SBW) and Shenyang Institute of Automation, along with key parks such as China-Germany (Shenyang) Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, Dalian Jinpu New Area, and Yingkou Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone, will participate in the innovation achievements exhibition, concentrating on showcasing the progress of industrial cluster development and digital transformation.
