In the golden autumn, crates of local Dalian apples have been loaded onto ships, embarking on their journey along the “Belt and Road”. Soon, these red apples will grace the dining tables of countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), bringing with them the unique crispy and sweet taste of Dalian.
Over the past decade, Dalian Customs has strongly supported export-oriented enterprises in expanding their presence in the market of the countries involved in the BRI. With the continued acceleration of the “Belt and Road” Express, local agricultural and sideline food products are gradually stepping onto the world stage.
“Dalian apples are well-known overseas. As it is currently the apple harvest season, we have received a tremendous number of overseas orders. Dayaowan Customs in Dalian has promptly provided favorable policies, enabling us to export our apples overseas at the fastest speed,” said Liu Baoyang, manager of Brilliant Century Agriculture Developing (Dalian) Co., Ltd.
To further provide high-quality services to enterprises and support the export of agricultural and sideline products like Dalian apples, Dayaowan Customs has established an expert team specializing in the export of such products. They conduct in-depth research within agricultural and sideline product enterprises to understand the challenges they face in customs clearance and trade. In response to the findings, the customs organizes policy seminars for enterprises, guiding them in making standardized declarations and providing supportive measures such as categorization and customs clearance appointments. These efforts aim to help enterprises understand and become familiar with preferential policies such as tariff reductions, rules of origin, and Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification.
From January to September this year, the total value of agricultural and sideline products exported to the countries involved in the BRI, under the supervision of Dayaowan Customs, reached 7.456 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.28%.
