Recently, the sixth batch of China (Liaoning) Medical Team to Gambia has arrived at the SOS Children's Village in Sara Kunda, Kanifing, and carried out a medical assistance program to bring international care and medical assistance to the children here. The medical team members not only brought the much-needed medical supplies, but also prepared health kits for the children.
During the health check, the medical team found that some of the children suffered from congenital heart disease. This discovery immediately drew the team’s attention, and they not only conducted professional diagnosis for these children, but also formulated a thorough follow-up treatment plan. The medical team also offered medical services to the staff of the children's village volunteer, providing them with acupuncture treatment, a traditional Chinese medical treatment that aroused the local people’s strong interest.
Since the sixth batch of China (Liaoning) Medical Team to Gambia arrived, they have unconditionally carried out in-depth exchanges and technology sharing with the local medical staff, which has not only improved the local medical quality, but also highlighted the importance of international cooperation.
