Liaoning, the only province in Northeast China with a coastline, boasts a unique seaside spectacle in winter known as Haihao (steam fog). With remarkable temperature drops, it is common to see steam fog in the southern sea areas of Dalian City, such as Xinghai Bay, Fujiazhuang, and Tiger Beach. The steam fog rises continuously from the sea surface, swirling and drifting with the wind. The small islands and moving fishing boats in the sea loom out of the steam fog, creating a dreamlike fairyland.
