In early spring, the sun is bright and the breeze is gentle in Shenyang City. To welcome the auspicious day of Longtaitou (or Loong Head Raising Day, on the 2nd day of the second month of the Chinese lunar calendar), Shenyang citizens take delight in watching loong dance in Beiling Park. On the site, performers dressed in bright-colored costumes wave red loongs to exciting traditional Chinese music, bringing out the vitality of spring. The dazzling loongs sometimes flip and leap, and sometimes hover and wander, attracting many tourists to stop and watch.
