2024-03-11

In the early morning of March 10th, with loud whistles, the international cruise ship “Zuiderdam” slowly docked at the Dalian International Cruise Terminal, and 2,013 foreign and domestic tourists, from 47 countries and regions, successfully went through the customs at the terminal to start city sightseeing, family visiting, shopping, and leisure touring. This is the first resumption of international cruise shipping at Dalian Port after a four-year hiatus, marking another solid step of Dalian’s efforts towards the construction of a high-level open gateway hub with smooth internal and external communication, and an international coastal tourist destination suitable for living, working and traveling.

The “Zuiderdam”, a Dutch cruise ship, has a massive gross tonnage of 82,000 tons, spans 285 meters in length and 32 meters in width, and can accommodate up to 2,388 passengers. This is the first time that the “Zuiderdam” has visited Dalian. After the visit on the night of the 10th, it was scheduled to reach the next stop, Tianjin City.

In the sales area of the welcome hall at the terminal, there is a dazzling array of “Dalian souvenirs and Dalian famous products” that represent Dalian’s regional characteristics and creative cultural product characteristics. That day, the Pulandian large cherry exhibition stand attracted many foreign tourists, who stopped to take photos and buy the souvenirs with Dalian characteristics.
