Recently, the Liaoning Opera House (Liaoning Symphony Orchestra) has launched a charity tour with its original opera “Deng Shichang” across universities in Liaoning Province. The opera is set against the backdrop of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, narrating the life stories of the national hero Deng Shichang, from his determination to join the army to his sacrifice for the country. The tour has been warmly welcomed by university teachers and students in Liaoning. Up until now, over thousands of them from Shenyang Aerospace University, Shenyang Institute of Engineering, Northeastern University, etc have watched the performance on campus. The ups and downs in the plots, the grand and magnificent momentum, and the solemn and stirring melodies all deeply touched the hearts of the audience, allowing every of them to appreciate the ardent patriotism of the national hero Deng Shichang while watching.
