Since the beginning of this year, Liaoning Port Group has focused closely on improving development quality and enhancing operational efficiency, thus the port throughput and business volume have steadily increased. In the first quarter of this year, the sea-rail combined transport volume of Liaoning ports increased by 29.3% year on year, among which the Dalian Port, the Yingkou Port Area, and the China Railway Express service grew by 24.2%, 28.3% and 147.2% respectively, and the container operation volume rose by over 10% compared to the previous year.

In the first quarter, Liaoning Port Group seized the opportunity to launch routes. It successively opened the container ocean route from the Dalian Port to western South America, and the express route from China (Dalian) to India, filling the gap in direct shipping services from the Dalian Port to South America and South Asia. Moreover, the first bulk and general cargo liner route from Liaoning ports to Hebei ports was officially launched. Besides, the Yingkou-Qinzhou-Shanghai domestic trade container route was also launched, providing a convenient and efficient new maritime logistics scheme for hinterland cargo transshipment.
