On September 10, the press conference for the 2024 Global Industrial Internet Conference was held at the Industrial Museum of China, presenting the main activities and highlights of the conference.
Under the theme of “Empowering Manufacturing with Intelligence, Fostering Innovation from Tradition”, the conference takes place at the Industrial Museum of China, with an aim to present the century-long development of China’s industrial bases, especially those in Liaoning Province and Shenyang City, through large industrial heritage sites, and machinery and iconic events that embody the spirit of the era.
The conference features one opening ceremony and keynote forum, one themed exhibition, one innovative achievements exhibition, two special sessions, 22 thematic forums, competitions, and exchange activities. During the opening ceremony and keynote forum, a thematic film will be released to summarize the innovative development of the Industrial Internet and forecast new trends in its evolution.
The innovative achievements exhibition this year will spotlight the application of new information technologies, and the in-depth extension from digital empowerment in “small scenarios” to industrial transformation and upgrading on a larger scale. It will vividly demonstrate the digital transformation achievements across the manufacturing sector nationwide, showcase key technological equipment such as the C919, China’s self-developed large passenger aircraft, the submersible Striver, and the underwater glider Haiyi (Sea Wings), highlighting new breakthroughs and significant advancements in various technological fields in China.
The conference will emphasize the integration of “Liaoning flavor” and “international style”, focusing on the synergistic effects between the Chinese and international markets and resources. It will highlight Liaoning’s characteristics to empower the energy sector through digital intelligence, initiate the action of Shenyang industrial data assets registration, and invite local leading enterprises like Shenggu Group Co., Ltd. and Ansteel Group Co., Ltd. to showcase their innovative breakthroughs and transformation practices, systematically presenting the new achievements in building “Digital Liaoning, Strong Manufacturing Province”. By gathering new areas of open cooperation from an international perspective, the conference will invite international experts and entrepreneurs represented by Todd Weatherby, Vice President of Siemens AG, and Peter Sachsenmeier, a member of the German National Academy of Science and Engineering, as well as multinational corporations like BMW and Siemens, further enhancing the level of internationalization.
