As the only coastal province in Northeast China, Liaoning boasts a 2,200-kilometer-long coastline, the fourth longest in the country, and also rich offshore wind energy resources. In the eastern waters off Zhuanghe, a county-level city of Dalian, a mass of large white windmills are erected. Gently embraced by the sea breeze, the windmills rotate ceaselessly to generate and deliver electricity to shore, witnessing the scenes of “electricity coming from the sea” constantly springing up along the coasts of Liaoning.
