On November 28, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference, presenting the progress and achievements of the ten initiatives implemented by Liaoning Maritime Safety Administration under the Three-Year Action Plan for Comprehensive Revitalization and New Breakthroughs in Liaoning.
Over the past year, Liaoning Maritime Safety Administration has strengthened the maritime emergency response system, significantly improving coastal search and rescue capabilities. By leveraging an integrated “land-sea-air-space” waterway transportation safety protection system, it has created a stable and high-quality environment to accelerate the construction, operation and production of major water-related projects. The Administration has coordinated coastal port traffic resources and announced 17 land-island transportation shipping routes, facilitating smoother maritime transport “microcirculation” and completing the final link in the coastal navigation network along Liaoning’s coastline.
Liaoning Maritime Safety Administration has completed the official opening acceptance inspection of 98 foreign-related berths at ports including Dalian, Yingkou, Dandong, and Panjin, further enhancing the throughput and capacity of these coastal ports. It has also helped the Taiping Port Area project of Dalian Port to be successfully included in the 2024 National Port Opening Plan, adding momentum to Liaoning’s efforts to become a hub for opening-up and cooperation in Northeast Asia. Liaoning Maritime Safety Administration has also optimized the export maritime inspection process in a targeted manner, ensuring the export efficiency of Chery automobiles from Dalian Port and supporting the launch of routes such as the Dalian Port-Mexico Container Express.
Furthermore, Liaoning Maritime Safety Administration has promoted the comprehensive development of the seafarer services industry chain, supported the green and low-carbon transition of the shipping industry, and encouraged the orderly development of new business forms, all in the pursuit of high-quality development of the maritime economy in the new era.
