On December 13, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference of the series on the “Nature’s Embrace, Liaoning’s Grace” ice and snow economy in Dalian, presenting major events, highlights, and features of Dalian’s efforts to develop its ice and snow economy.

This year, themed on “Winter Fairy Tale, Romantic Dalian”, Dalian will create seven innovative, immersive fairy tale-themed tourism scenarios. These include exploring fairy tale theme parks, admiring fairy tale landscapes, enjoying fairy tale-themed performances, savoring fairy tale-inspired seafood, staying in fairy tale-themed hotels, strolling through fairy tale-themed streets, and shopping for fairy tale-related souvenirs. Additionally, Dalian will host over 300 events in the “Ice and Snow Fairy Tale Plus” series, issue special discount cards such as the “Fairy Tale Dalian Travelling Card”, and launch six premium fairy tale-themed travel routes. With a strong winter fairy tale ambiance, the city aims to offer residents and visitors a brand-new experience of winter tourism in Dalian.

With over 30 snow play parks, Dalian offers the perfect destinations for skiing enthusiasts and families. The first Dalian “Passion for Oyster” Winter Tourism Season will introduce cultural and tourism products such as fresh culinary delights and traveling-based wellness. Visitors can choose hot spring hotels, seaside homestays, and boutique theme hotels, indulging in Dalian’s uniquely tranquil winter charm. Strolling through fairy tale-inspired streets, visitors will uncover the vibrant winter fashion and trends of the city. The entire city has been mobilized to promote the “Dalian Service” brand, ensuring domestic and international tourists experience services that are reassuring, thoughtful, and heartwarming.

Moreover, Dalian will host an ice and snow carnival in the sports industry to further tap into the potential of winter sports and invigorate its ice and snow economy. The city is committed to building a series of signature brands, including “Tour Dalian Through Sporting Events”, “Explore Dalian’s Frozen Wonderland”, “Enjoy Exciting Ice and Snow Activities in Dalian”, and “Experience Cozy Winter Skiing in Dalian”.
