On the afternoon of December 17, international friends from various countries gathered at the Northeast Asia International Ski Resort in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, to savor the charm of Liaoning’s ice and snow culture and ice and snow sports firsthand.

The 15 ski slopes of Northeast Asia International Ski Resort,  featuring soft snow, are nestled amid mountains. The resort boasts romantic snow houses, glowing snowmen and other landscapes, creating a dreamy world of light and shadow. The international friends were obsessed with Liaoning’s ice and snow culture through racing on high-quality ski slopes, sliding down on snow tubes from a “castle”, visiting cultural and tourism market fairs in various cities of Liaoning, experiencing local delicacies and fine goods, and also feeling the joy of “Lion Dance” and “Trendy Chinese-Style” skiing performances.

Dmitrii Pavlov, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Russian Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises in Primorsky Krai, said that he was surprised to witness such a ski resort in Shenyang that has a good snow quality and is close to its urban area. He remarked that Liaoning Province and Primorsky Krai of Russia have similar natural environments, but Liaoning attaches great importance to its ice and snow culture, where visitors can soak in hot springs, have northeastern cuisine, and participate in ice and snow sports in winter. This experience activity really deepened his understanding of Liaoning’s ice and snow culture.

This activity not only allowed the international friends to personally experience Liaoning’s abundant ice and snow tourism resources and the infinite charm of its ice and snow culture, but also promoted the cultural and tourism exchanges between China and foreign countries, igniting their passion for winter tourism in Liaoning.
