The 8th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo is about to open. Zheng Chengjun, Vice President of Beijing International Studies University, and an expert at the expo, stated that Dunhuang has always upheld the principle of mutual learning among civilizations in its cultural relic preservation. The preservation is not about self-imposed isolation or cutting itself off from the outside world; rather, it should help the outside world better understand China.
