Dunhuang culture is a model of how Chinese civilization has continuously integrated and evolved over thousands of years, and is also a bright pearl in the long river of world civilization. On September 21, the 8th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo will be held in Dunhuang, Gansu Province. Since 2016, seven successful editions of the Expo have been held. It serves as a vital bridge to strengthen cooperation and development among countries worldwide and promote cultural exchanges, and an important platform for advancing the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
