From October 1 to 8, the Liaoning Provincial Museum will extend its opening hours during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, running from 9:00 to 18:00 for this period.
No reservation is required at the Liaoning Provincial Museum. After security check, visitors can enter the museum simply by swiping their ID cards. For children and foreign passport holders, a special passage is opened for verification. During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the Liaoning Provincial Museum will hold exhibitions such as “Mountains and Seas in Harmony, A Unity of Diversities: Liaoning’s Exhibition on Fostering a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation”, “Mighty Currents Join the Sea: Chang Shu-Chi’s Painting Exhibition”, “When Two Kilns Shine as One: An Exhibition of Ceramic Sculpture from Shiwan and Jingdezhen in the Early Years of the People’s Republic of China”, “The Glamour of the Tang and Song Dynasties—The Art World in the Digital Painting Realm”, “Star Exploration—Exhibition of Outstanding Cultural and Creative Works from Museums across Liaoning Province”, as well as the immersive XR (extended reality) large-scale exhibition “Exploring the Han Dynasty Haihun Fief” and the large-scale space exploration VR (virtual reality) immersive experience exhibition “Galactic Rhapsody: Verse One”.

Moreover, the museum’s social education staff will teach visitors how to hand-paint the “Green Glaze Incised Double-Hole Cockscomb Pot” and the “White Glaze Gourd-Shaped Backflow Pot with Black Flowers”.
On October 2 and 3, the Liaoning Provincial Museum will host two livestreams on its official Weibo, Douyin, and WeChat Channel accounts, as well as the official Xiaohongshu (RedNote) and Douyin accounts of “Liaoning Provincial Museum Cultural and Creative Products”. These livestreams will feature key cultural relics, and unique cultural and creative products from the museum, as well as guides for visiting the museum, and its comprehensive service initiatives. They will further enhance the museum’s cultural outreach, and extend its offline services to online pre-launch support and real-time assistance, aiming to further improve the museum’s public services.
