On the occasion of the Chinese National Day, Shenyang Normal University held a choral performance titled “I Love You, China”. At the Xingye Auditorium of the university, Chinese and international students passionately sang powerful and encouraging Chinese songs. The soulful and graceful rendition of Misplaced Time and Space by the “Global Harmony” Chinese and International Student Chorus of the International Education College of Shenyang Normal University deeply touched the audience. Misplaced Time and Space is an artistically appealing song that reminds contemporary youth to remember history and cherish their hard-earned happiness.

Carmen Picciocchi, an Italian international student and the leading singer of Misplaced Time and Space, expressed her dedication to every rehearsal and every rendition, infusing her singing with love for China. This was her first time participating in a university-hosted choral event, and she felt very inspired. “Young people around the world are the same; the essence of youth is hard work”, said Picciocchi. Thanya Saeyang, a Thai international student, said, “As an international student, I am deeply moved to have the opportunity to sing a song on stage with Chinese university students. Every musical note we sang expressed our deep love for China.”
