On November 5th, over 40 international students in Shenyang embarked on a journey of “Exploring Shenyang’s Memory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression”, during which they visited the Shenyang WWII Allied Prisoners Camp Site Museum and the September 18th Historical Museum. Under the theme of “Learning from History to Forge Peace”, they learned more about the history and understood the preciousness of peace through immersive experiences.

During the visit, Elle, an international student from Morocco, said, “the cruel history displayed here has strengthened my commitment to safeguarding peace. I hope countries suffering from wars and hunger will one day become as prosperous and strong as China.”

Through immersive experiences and dialogues, this activity allowed the international students to learn about the international stories behind the Chinese people’s resistance against Japanese aggression and the Chinese nation’s efforts to uphold justice. The international students stated that they would share their experiences and insights with their families and friends back home, letting more people learn about the international stories of Chinese people’s resistance against Japanese aggression, and cherish the hard-won peace.
