On November 6, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference to introduce the “Liaoning Province 119 Fire Safety Publicity Month”.
November 9 marks the 34th National Fire Prevention Day, with the theme: “Fire Prevention for All, Life Above All: Safe Use of Fire and Electricity”. Liaoning Province will launch distinctive promotional activities in various forms, including online live streaming, offline experiential events, and volunteer services, to extensively popularize fire safety knowledge among the public.
Liaoning Province will launch fire safety warning education and publicity for the entire society, with a focus on high-incidence risks, including fire and electricity safety, prevention of “small fires causing fatalities” incidents, and electric bicycle fire prevention and control. Through in-depth analysis of typical cases and the widespread dissemination of common fire safety knowledge, the initiative aims to comprehensively enhance public fire safety awareness and self-rescue and mutual rescue capabilities, to build a community of shared responsibility for fire safety where “everyone has responsibilities and everyone fulfills them”. Liaoning Province will implement precision-targeted fire safety publicity and education for different demographic groups. For primary and secondary school students, the province will organize specialized lectures by fire safety counselors, evacuation drills, risk and hazard identification training, and online interactive fire safety challenges. For elderly residents and vulnerable groups, Liaoning Province will mobilize grassroots personnel including fire safety volunteers and community grid managers to conduct door-to-door fire hazard inspections and disseminate basic fire prevention knowledge, and establish a neighborhood “mutual watch” mechanism.
Liaoning Province will also strengthen fire safety training and drills, conducting specialized training on responsibility implementation, fire equipment operation, risk and hazard identification, and evacuation procedures. Based on industry risk characteristics, Liaoning Province will guide key venues and high-risk units to conduct realistic combat drills and assist in refining emergency response plans; for key groups, Liaoning Province will prioritize practical and operational training, launching specialized fire safety capability training to enhance public capabilities in fire prevention and evacuation.
