The Liaoning Provincial Museum’s grand exhibition China in Poetry and Painting: The Poetic Realm of Chinese Painting will be launched on December 30, 2025, and run until March 29, 2026.

The exhibition will feature over 120 pieces (sets) of precious cultural relics from more than ten cultural and museum institutions across China, mainly from the Liaoning Provincial Museum. These cultural relics will be exhibited in Halls 20, 21, and 22, as well as the Light and Shadow Hall of the museum. This exhibition will also boast the largest-scale and the highest-class exhibits on this theme ever, making it a grand artistic feast integrating poetry and painting.
Six years ago, the museum’s exhibition Meet the Tang Dynasty Again allowed visitors to rediscover the grandeur of Tang Dynasty art. China in Poetry and Painting further deepens the theme. It will explore how Chinese poetry and painting inspire and integrate with each other from the unique perspective of their unity, and further jointly manifest the aesthetic values and spiritual world of the Chinese nation.
