Oey Toen Ping, President of the Rotterdam Branch of the Netherlands China Association, paid a visit to Liaoning from May 5 to 8. His visit aimed to bolster bilateral cooperation in vocational and technical education as well as skilled talent training, and further strengthen people-to-people exchanges and friendship between China and the Netherlands.

During his stay in Liaoning, Oey Toen Ping visited Liaoning Vocational Technical College of Modern Service and Shenyang Foreign Affairs Service School. He conducted an on-site inspection of the culinary training bases, and learned about the colleges’ teaching models and talent cultivation outcomes. His itinerary also included a visit to the Shenyang Museum to explore the city’s time-honored history, profound cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage items.

The visit to Liaoning left a deep impression on Oey Toen Ping. He noted that the province boasts a solid industrial foundation, promising development potential and abundant cultural resources. “China is a destination worth visiting time and again, as every visit brings fresh insights,” he remarked. He expressed his wish to connect more Dutch educational institutions and enterprises with Liaoning, seeking to launch more pragmatic cooperation projects in vocational education, skills training, cultural tourism and other fields.
