With International Children’s Day approaching, the Liaoning Provincial Museum will extend its opening hours on that day, running from 9 am to 7 pm. Children can enter through a special entrance.

The museum has also released a visitor guide on its official WeChat account, highlighting exhibitions such as Where the Guardian Mountain Meets the Sea: Exhibition of Archaeological Discoveries From the Liao Imperial Mausoleums at Yiwulyu Mountain, Songs of Seasonal Joy in Chinese New Year Prints, Emblems of Virtue: Exhibition of Plaques Artifacts, Co-Creating the New Era: 2026 Exhibition of Excellent Artworks From China National Arts Fund-Supported Projects, and Ancient GamesA Thousand Years of Wisdom in Traditional Chinese Sports.

The museum’s exhibition The Glamour of Tang and Song DynastiesThe Art World in Digital Painting Realm brings Tang and Song paintings to life through holographic projection, VR, AR, and immersive dramas. The “VR Large-Space Interactive Cinema” in the Children’s Experience Hall uses VR technology to project artifacts into an accessible and perceptible space. This combination of exhibitions and technology will definitely provide a unique experience for children.
