On March 27, “Tiexi Day for German Enterprises and the Cooperation and Exchange Conference of China-Germany Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park in Shenyang (CGIP) was held in Munich, the capital of Bavaria, Germany. This event attracted more than 100 representatives from the enterprises and institutions of both sides and witnessed the successful signing of 11 projects, including the digital transformation and upgrading project of China-Europe Digital Alliance, the culture and tourism project of Kaytrip, and the strategic cooperation project between Kemether Automotive Engineering Technology (Liaoning) Co., Ltd. and Automation W+R GmbH.
With the theme of “Meet China and Germany, Foresee the Future”, this event was guided by the Shenyang Municipal People’s Government and co-hosted by the Management Committee of Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone and the Management Committee of CGIP.
At the event, representatives from six institutions and enterprises, including BMW, Hübschmann Zhan International School, Driveblocks, Beijing LiangDao Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., DXC Technology Deutschland GmbH, Fraunhofer Society and Kemether Automotive Engineering Technology (Liaoning) Co., Ltd. shared their positive experiences of win-win cooperation.
On the same day, responsible officers of Tiexi District, Shenyang made an on-site promotion concerning the construction and development of CGIP. As a strategic platform for high-end equipment manufacturing industry cooperation between Germany and China, the park focuses on the development of intelligent equipment, high-end equipment, automotive manufacturing, industrial services and five other strategic emerging industries, making every effort to build a pilot area for tactical cooperation between “Made in China” and “Industry 4.0 in Germany”. Currently, the industrial park is home to more than 470 enterprises of various types, hosting 82 German companies such as BMW, BASF SE, Bentler, ZF, Heraeus, FEV and Mubea. In the year of 2022, the park completed the above-scale industrial output value of 86.4 billion yuan, the full-coverage tax revenue of 10 billion yuan and the fixed asset investment of 19.5 billion yuan.
At the same time, CGIP, German Academy of Science and Engineering, BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. and other institutions and enterprises have jointly formed the China-Germany (Shenyang) High-End Manufacturing Innovation Committee which includes 152 member units. CGIP has also established 4 overseas offshore innovation service centers, such as the one in Heidelberg Germany, cumulatively carrying out over 130 economic and trade exchange activities, such as the “Tiexi Day for German Enterprises” and the “German Enterprise ‘Trip to Shenyang’”.
It is learned that in the future, CGIP will play a more active role in breaking new ground for cooperation, seize opportunities for industrial development, promote economic and trade exchanges, and build an environment-friendly industrial park with concerted efforts, so as to set a new benchmark for Liaoning’s partnership with European countries and serve as an important window open to the outside world.
