As a significant means of promoting consumption, expanding employment, and improving residents’ quality of life, the nighttime economy has become a key focus of Liaoning’s efforts. Recently, Liaoning announced the first batch of provincial-level nighttime economy demonstration blocks, with 20 blocks selected such as Zhongjie Street in Shenyang, and Qingniwa-Tianjin Street in Dalian.

At the end of last year, Liaoning decided to launch the “Liaoning Nighttime Economy Demonstration Blocks” evaluation throughout the province, to accelerate the development of its nighttime economy. During the selection process, Liaoning formulated evaluation standards, including five dimensions such as reasonable planning layout, distinctive features, public service functions, diversified business formats, and service standards. Each dimension also has specific scoring items, with a total score of 800 points. Through self-declaration by enterprises, local recommendations, expert group evaluations, and public announcements, the top 20 blocks with the highest comprehensive scores were awarded provincial-level nighttime economy demonstration blocks.

Liaoning will continue to focus on creating nighttime consumption scenarios and demonstration blocks, improving supporting measures such as nighttime transportation, safety, and environment, and boosting the convenience and vitality of nighttime consumption. It will also build a nighttime economy development pattern throughout the province, with reasonable layouts, complete functions, diversified business formats, standardized management, and various features.
