Apr 28,2023

Recently, the Dalian Suoyuwan Football Stadium project has passed its completion inspection. The project started in October 2020, with a total construction period of over 600 days.

The Dalian Suoyuwan Football Stadium project covers an area of approximately 26.5 hectares, with a total construction area of about 136,000 square meters. It is a top-tier football stadium with a seating capacity of 63,000. Surrounding the football stadium is a 2.2-kilometer jogging track that leads directly to the top viewing platform. On the east side, there are two natural grass football training fields and one auxiliary facility building. This is the only seaside football stadium in China that is surrounded by the sea on three sides.

The design inspiration of the project comes from “waves and conches”, and the design concept is “colorful overlapping waves”. The facade color is “ocean blue”, and the roof is white. The “blue sea and white clouds” and decorative design symbolizing glittering water integrate Dalian’s marine culture and football spirit, and showcase an active and lively atmosphere for spectators as well as distinctive features of a coastal city.

To build this landmark livelihood project in Dalian, the project team has overcome a series of challenges and difficulties, actively explored new technologies and processes, and applied 3D laser scanners, concrete robots, AI recognition, and other technologies to assist in the intelligent construction of the project.

The passing of the completion inspection indicates that Dalian Suoyuwan Football Stadium is soon to be officially put into operation, to provide unparalleled football feasts for fans. Besides, the football stadium’s completion will further drive the overall improvement of surrounding infrastructure, form a leading and gathering effect in such fields as events, sports, culture, and commerce, promote environmental improvement and consumption growth, and create a new pattern of integrated and interconnected regional development for Suoyuwan and Zuanshiwan.
