100 Key Exhibition Projects Launched in Liaoning

The launch ceremony for 100 key exhibition projects in Liaoning Province in 2023 was recently held in Shenyang. These exhibitions, which cover various regions throughout the province, will showcase Liaoning’s unique resources and industrial advantages, becoming a business card and bridge for Liaoning’s economic and trade exchanges, regional cooperation, and cultural exchange with domestic and foreign markets, and providing impetus for the high-quality development of Liaoning’s economy.

The 100 key exhibition projects launched this time will run throughout the year, with a total exhibition area of 1.593 million square meters, covering brand exhibitions in economy and trade, specialty fields, and consumer products. Among them, there are 44 key exhibition projects in Shenyang, covering an exhibition area of 789,000 square meters, and three conference projects with over 10,000 participants. There are 33 key exhibition projects in Dalian, covering an exhibition area of 499,000 square meters, and eight conference projects with nearly 9,000 participants. In terms of economy and trade, the Liaoning International Fair of Investment and Trade, Liaoning International Agriculture Expo, China International Equipment Manufacturing Expo, China International Digital and Software Service Fair, China International Patent Fair, and other national-level exhibitions will be developed into high-level open platforms for resource integration and innovation development. In terms of specialty fields, exhibitions such as the Global Industrial Internet Conference, China (Shenyang) World Congress of Robotics, Shenyang Faku International Flight Convention, China-Japan (Dalian) Expo, Dalian International Industry Fair, China International Marine Ranching and Fishery Expo will be closely integrated with Liaoning’s advantageous industries such as equipment manufacturing, electronic information, petrochemicals, new materials, shipping, and biomedicine, leveraging the “magnetic effect” of exhibitions to help upgrade industries. In terms of consumer products, brand exhibitions such as Shenyang (China) International Automobile Industry Expo, China (Shenyang) International Consumer Products Expo, and Dalian Real Estate Fair will fully leverage the economic engine function of brand exhibitions of consumer products, promote supply-demand docking, and lead consumption trends based on the exhibition platform.

From January to February of this year, the number of exhibitions in Liaoning indicated a full recovery of the province’s exhibition industry. Liaoning will closely focus on the Three-Year Action Plan for Comprehensive Revitalization and New Breakthroughs, cultivate national-level and international exhibition brands with Liaoning characteristics, continuously expand the scale of exhibitions, and increase efforts in attracting exhibitions, creating a favorable exhibition atmosphere throughout the province with “themed events every season, exhibitions every month, and scenarios every week”.
