Relying on the excellent regional cultural resources, Liaoning Province is exploring the mechanism of the script show industry, has renamed “Script Murder” as “Script Show” and opened up a new path for culture and tourism development. Recently, the Liaoning Script Show Industry Summit & Script Show Industrial Park Promotion Conference were held in Shenyang City. On the same day, the Liaoning Shengjingfang Script Show Immersive Culture and Entertainment Industrial Park was unveiled, marking the official establishment of Liaoning’s first immersive cultural industrial park represented by the script show, which will strongly promote the development of the script show industry in Liaoning.
At the Liaoning Art Creation Work Conference held in February this year, the government clearly stated that Liaoning should rely on excellent regional cultural resources, explore new momentum in the development of the script entertainment industry, and inject new vitality into the spread of China’s excellent traditional culture and red culture with the script show as a carrier.
The conference arranged sharing sessions such as industry forums, keynote speeches, and roundtable dialogues, set up an industry exhibition area, and also selected the 2022 Annual Script Show Excellent Brands, the Most Popular Positive Energy Awards, etc., providing a comprehensive interactive communication platform for over 400 enterprise representatives in the script entertainment industry throughout the country. During the conference, they conducted in-depth discussions on various aspects of the script show industry, including script creation, scene layout, and operation management, and exchanged views on the “Script Show + Culture and Tourism Development” model.
Zhang Zhenqun, president of the Script Entertainment Expert Committee of Liaoning Provincial Culture and Tourism Association and head of the operation of the Liaoning Shengjingfang Script Show Immersive Culture and Entertainment Industrial Park, introduced that the park has a planning area of about 1,300 square meters. Currently, it has attracted industry-leading enterprises focusing on script writing and theme output, such as the Script Entertainment Expert Committee of Liaoning Provincial Culture and Tourism Association, Mingsi Culture, Box Energy Culture, Monster Box, Meow, Workers, and Horus, which will stimulate internal power for the construction and development of the regional cultural and creative center.
Wang Dong, vice director of the Script Entertainment Expert Committee of China Culture & Entertainment Industry Association and founder of KEYS Studio, shared his views on the development of the script show industry. He believes that Liaoning has unique advantages in the script show industry. For one thing, according to statistics from online platforms, Liaoning has formed a script show industry cluster with over 900 companies, ranking among the top in China in terms of the industry scale and with broad development prospects. For another, Liaoning’s unique regional culture, including industrial culture and red culture, will provide new ideas for the development of the script show industry.
As Liaoning’s first immersive cultural industrial park represented by the script show, the Liaoning Shengjingfang Script Show Immersive Culture and Entertainment Industrial Park will not only link the upstream and downstream industrial chains of the script show, but also gradually form an immersive script entertainment industry base integrating work creation, talent cultivation, internal testing, script trading, player experience, and derivative product sales, stimulating the internal driving force for the construction and development of the regional cultural and creative center.
