On May 10, the Western Returned Scholars Association（Overseas-educated Scholars Association of China）held the launching ceremony for the Third Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for High-End Equipment Manufacturing Industry. The event took place at the Innovation World building in Shenyang, Liaoning.

Fostering innovation and gathering talents through competition，the Third Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition hosted by the Western Returned Scholars Association (Overseas-educated Scholars Association of China) centers around the theme of “Uniting the Talents of Overseas Returnees and Unleashing Innovation for Development in a New Era.” The competition has been divided into five competition areas, with the competition area of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry held in Shenyang. The aim of the competition is to fully unleash the potential and enthusiasm of overseas-educated scholars who have delved deep into the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and aggregate their wisdom and strength to the greatest extent possible, so as to promote the clustering of more creative projects and entrepreneurial achievements in Liaoning, with a specific focus on landing in Shenyang.

The launching ceremony witnessed the release of a number of scientific and technological research and development requirements from high-tech enterprises in Shenyang, especially in the Shenyang Airport Economic Zone. Additionally, various activities were held, including the signing for the establishment of the Shengke Investment Fund for the Transformation of International Scientific and Technological Achievements, and strategic cooperation agreements between the Shenyang Airport Economic Zone and the Shenyang Institute of Industrial Technology.
