“Adorning Hair with Flowers: Ladies of the Court” is a unique surviving masterpiece of Chinese painting of Tang Dynasty court ladies, currently collected in Liaoning Provincial Museum. Inspired by this artwork, Shenyang Performing Arts Group faithfully reproduced the costumes, makeup, and postures depicted in the painting. The female group dance “Adorning Hair with Flowers: Ladies of the Court” embodies the spirit of animating cultural relics, exhibiting the distinctive charm of the Chinese culture through the art of dance.
