Hip twisting, King Tut style, swag moves... In just a few seconds, the swift twisting to the music of “Bingga Bingga” can easily attract all people regardless of age and gender to dance together.

Recently, an extremely attractive dance called “Bingga dance” has also gone viral around the world, spreading all the way from Northeast China to countries such as the US, the UK, Russia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Zambia, etc. Top internet celebrities in China and international friends from various countries continue to launch dance challenges, dancing passionately on streets, fields and competition grounds. Although netizens of different skin colors may not speak Chinese fluently, they can accurately grasp the essence of the dance.

“Bingga dance” boasts a lively rhythm, and a set of natural and smooth movements that combine multiple dance music elements such as popping, Meipai shake, kemusan (or Guangxi Subject Three, a popular dance style in South China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region), etc. “Bingga dance” has a small range of movements, and is simple and easy to catch on. Coupled with the distinctive rhythm of music, it is not difficult to engage the body’s senses.

The original name of Pi Ge (or Brother Pi), the creator of the dance, is Bai Long. He is a post-1985 and a native of Shenyang City, Northeast China’s Liaoning Province. He said that he has the responsibility and obligation to let more people understand, fall in love with, and yearn for Shenyang. Therefore, his many dance works are shot in front of Shenyang’s landmark buildings.
