Recently, 31 international students from Jinzhou Medical University came to the Fuxin Chahai Ruins Museum, embarking on a cultural study trip. The students from 17 countries visited “China’s first loong” here.

The Fuxin Chahai Ruins Museum was listed on the fourth batch of the national key cultural relics protection units announced by the State Council in 1996. The exhibition in the museum is divided into four parts: “China’s First Loong”, “China’s First Village”, “Primitive Pottery Industry” and “The Origin of Jade Culture”. At the central square of the settlement in the museum, a giant stone-piled loong unveiled itself to the international students, making them in awe. They excitedly took pictures with their mobile phones one after another. The guide introduced to them that not only pottery fragments with loong patterns were excavated at the Chahai site dating back 8,000 years ago, but also the stone-piled loong was unearthed at the ancestral residence. This high-spirited stone loong that seems to ride on mists and clouds is the earliest loong image ever found in China, proving that “loongs originated from the Liaohe River”.

Fahim, an international student from Bangladesh who loves history and archeology, said, “It was my first time visiting the Fuxin Chahai Ruins Museum. I saw many precious cultural relics here and also learned about the origin of the Chinese loong. This cultural activity has provided a valuable opportunity for us international students to further understand the history and culture of Liaoning.”
