Recently, 2024 Liaoning Province “Cultural and Natural Heritage Day” Intangible Cultural Heritage Promotion and Exhibition and the “10th Shenyang Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo” were held in the host city of Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning Province.

The event was organized by Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, focusing on intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance, cultural and tourism integration, rural revitalization, and Dragon Boat Festival celebration. It concentrated on active inheritance, dynamic performance, static display, and immersive experience, so that the audience can experience the charm of Shenyang’s regional culture in the process of appreciating and experiencing traditional culture.

Scarlett, a reporter from Liaoning International Communication Center (LICC), led Daria, a Russian girl, and Liu Bao, a Hungarian boy, to have an immersive experience of Liaoning’s intangible cultural heritage projects.

Feng Yuanping Paper Cutting, Shenyang Li’ s Sugar Figurine, Shenyang Yu’s Dough Modeling Craftsmanship, Hu Kuizhang Writing Brush Making, Wang’s Clay Figurine Making, Shenyang Li’s Traditional Paper Pleating, Shenyang Manchu Embroidery, Traditional Chinese Medicine Bone Setting and Massage, etc. The countless skills of Liaoning’s intangible cultural heritage dazzled the two international friends, as if they had been in an “intangible cultural heritage” feast. Completely amazed, they highly praised this experience.
