Recently, a large number of black-faced spoonbills have been spotted in Zhuanghe, a county-level city in Northeast China’s Liaoning Province. As a critically endangered bird species worldwide and an indicator of wetland environmental quality, the black-faced spoonbill serves as a brilliant “ecological name card” for Zhuanghe.
