Erduoyan Hutong is a narrow hutong with only one entrance and exit, with a history of hundreds of years. It is said that a local official once wandered here, and complained that it was too narrow, saying, “It’s really like passing through an ear hole!” Thereafter, the hutong was named “Erduoyan (Ear Hole) Hutong”. Now, the hutong has been newly renovated. After the completion of the lighting project, the night here is no longer dark, which greatly facilitates people’s travel.
