Shenyang in summer is full of verdant scenery and vitality. Batsukh Galsan, the chairman of the Mongolia-China Friendship Association, led a delegation to Liaoning for the promotion of friendship, cooperation, and exchanges. “Liaoning impressed me with high-quality achievements, especially the promising development of the digital economy. Today’s Liaoning is so magnificent, fashionable, and internationalized compared with 30 years ago,” Batsukh exclaimed.

Batsukh, who once served as the Mongolian Ambassador to China and received the “Sino-Mongolian Friendship Contribution Award”, has visited the China Industrial Museum, the Shenyang Palace Museum, Northeastern University, Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, and the Liaoning International Communication Center consecutively in recent days. He was deeply fascinated by Liaoning’s profound history and culture, excellent higher education, and efficient international communication capabilities. “The people of Liaoning are still warm and hospitable, with their faces always radiating with happy smiles,” said Batsukh smilingly. “I came to Liaoning 30 years ago, but it has changed so much that it is now difficult to find traces of the past. In particular, Shenyang, the capital city, has become more splendid, modern, and globalized after years of development.”

Batsukh added that in 2023, the Mongolia-China Friendship Association and the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia jointly organized a series of activities for the Mongolia-China Friendship Week, with a friendly exchange delegation from Liaoning participating in a series of events. “Liaoning artists held a photography exhibition and performed wonderful cultural programs in Ulaanbaatar, which were warmly welcomed by the local people,” said Batsukh. “The Mongolia-China Friendship Week allowed the Mongolian people to comprehend that Liaoning is a place with a long history, outstanding artistic achievements, and rich tourism resources. Consequently, many local people have shown a strong interest in Liaoning and an aspiration to visit it.” During his stay in Shenyang, Batsukh watched the “Exchange Exhibition on Liaoning-Mongolia Photographers’ Works”. He has been expecting Liaoning photographers to hold another photography exhibition in Mongolia to showcase the diverse scenes about culture and lifestyle in various parts of Liaoning to the Mongolian people. “China and Mongolia share extensive culture, and Liaoning is a major cultural province in China, so there is great potential for cultural exchange and cooperation between Liaoning and Mongolia in the future,” Batsukh explained. “I heard that dance teachers from Shenyang Conservatory of Music are studying in Mongolia, and dancers from Shenyang and Ulaanbaatar are learning traditional dances while staging exchange performances. Actually, this itself is an effective way to enhance friendship. I hope that more universities in Liaoning and Mongolia can conduct in-depth cooperation through the exchange of teachers and students to learn from each other and enhance friendship.”

“This visit has given me an opportunity to know Liaoning better. Going forward, I will promote pragmatic cooperation between Mongolia and Liaoning Province in areas such as economy, trade, culture, education, green development, and digital economy, and further strengthen the bond between the two sides,” Batsukh concluded.
