On July 2, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held the seventh press conference of the series titled “Promoting High-Quality Development of Enterprises”. Representatives from the Shenyang, Dalian, and Yingkou areas of the Liaoning Pilot Free Trade Zone introduced their efforts in leveraging the designated functions and distinctive advantages of the free trade zone. They also presented their related deployment, key measures, and significant progress in supporting and serving enterprises within the zone, as well as ensuring and promoting high-quality development of enterprises in these areas.
The Shenyang Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone expanded its “Air-Land-Sea Network” channels, launching nine international cargo charter flight routes connecting Shenyang to cities such as Frankfurt and Amsterdam. Additionally, three BMW parts cargo charter routes, including one to Greenville, have been established, helping BMW achieve dynamic “zero inventory” for spare parts and ensuring a stable supply chain. In 2023, the Shenyang area established a 7,000-square-meter China-Europe freight train assembly center, with an import and export value reaching $200 million, and maintained the highest number of China-Europe freight train departures in Northeast China.
The Dalian Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone promoted the launch and development of new forms of financial leasing. On June 19, Juneyao Air’s aircraft bonded financing leasing business was successfully launched, achieving a groundbreaking breakthrough in aircraft financial leasing in Northeast China and establishing a “one-stop access and all-round service” business service system. Currently, the Dalian area hosts 462 national high-tech enterprises and 29 provincial-level or above “little giant” enterprises that use special and sophisticated technologies.
The Yingkou Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone has initially formed five leading industries: bonded processing, bonded R&D, bonded maintenance, cross-border e-commerce, and bonded logistics. It is advancing the construction of a key industrial park project for the inland port hub with a total investment of approximately 1.3 billion yuan. This project aims to accelerate the interconnection between the Yingkou area and international train routes as well as international shipping lines at the port area, establishing a functional area for market exchange of commercial and logistics services and a distribution center for business travel and procurement.
