On August 29, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference, presenting the breakthroughs achieved by Shenyang Customs District in the full revitalization of Liaoning in this crucial year.
Since the beginning of this year, Shenyang Customs District has developed new mechanisms for coordinated advancement. Based on local industrial structures, location advantages, and development plans, it has implemented 82 tasks in a coordinated manner, yielding fruitful results. It has fostered a business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized. In the first seven months of this year, 919,000 tonnes of grain have been imported through ports in the district, up by 34% year-on-year. Resource commodities, including crude oil, coal, and iron ore, have seen imports reach 4.42 million tonnes, marking a year-on-year increase of 27.7%.
Shenyang Customs District has supported the construction of a national China Railway Express (Shenyang) Hub and promoted the new “Railway Express” model to ensure the smooth departure of export “Railway Express” cargo trains. Supporting the operations under the Transport International Router (TIR), it has built two TIR channels, completed the supervision of 18 batches at places of departure, supervised TIR goods with a total export value of 17.35 million yuan, and reduced one-way transport time to seven days. The customs has also ensured the smooth opening of the “Shenyang-Los Angeles” cross-border e-commerce all-cargo air route, achieving a maximum cargo capacity of 105 tonnes per flight.
In the next step, Shenyang Customs District will further the construction of smart customs and the “Smart Customs for a Strong Nation” initiative so as to further optimize the business environment at the ports.
