At the Liaoyang Zoo in Liaoning Province, a lively and harmonious scene beyond imagination has captured visitors’ attention. A little boar comfortably snuggles its head onto a lion’s back, grunting and scratching itself; the lion cozily lies on the ground, occasionally stretching out its paws and stroking the boar’s cheek. Who would have imagined that these two seemingly natural enemies could become friends.
A zoo staff member introduced, “The boar is called Mike, and the lion Simba. They have been raised together since they were juvenile. After that, they are inseparable in eating, resting and frolicking. The two live in great harmony.” On the site, masses of visitors exclaimed, “How can they be raised together?” But they are more pleasantly surprised, eagerly snapping the scene with their lenses.
Director Niu of the Liaoyang Zoo said the zoo has not yet considered separating the two as they are currently getting along very well. The special pair will go on accompanying each other to bring more joy to visitors.
