In April, the Yalu River Estuary Wetland in Dandong City, Liaoning Province, welcomes its annual spectacle of bird migration, as tens of thousands of bar-tailed godwits, great knots, dunlins and other shorebirds arrive from Oceania, creating spectacular airborne waves of birds at this World Natural Heritage site.
