Recently, Dalian’s Daheishi and Xiaoheishi sea areas have been witnessing bioluminescent spectacles, where sea waves casting a crystal blue radiance splash onto beaches and reefs, resembling sparkling star-filled rivers. Bioluminescent seas are natural phenomena in which marine organisms, such as Noctiluca scintillans, convert chemical energy into light energy through chemical reactions in their bodies.
