The Second Liaoning International Friendship Cities Conference was held in Shenyang from June 12 to 13, with the theme of “Mountains to Seas, Friendship Thrives”. The conference leveraged international friendly cities and friendly cooperation partners as a communication platform, enabling local governments, business associations, and enterprises from various countries to focus on cultural and tourism cooperation, aiming to deepen exchanges and mutual learning, and seek opportunities for collaboration.

On the afternoon of June 12, a series of activities for the Cultural and Tourism Characteristic Exhibition of Friendly Cities were held. The outdoor lakeside corridor of the Liaoning Friendship Hotel transformed into a “window of the world” where diverse cultures converged. The local governments, business associations and enterprises from 20 countries promoted their advantages of cultural and tourism industries through live demonstrations, immersive experiences, and interactive engagements.

On the morning of June 13, the Second Liaoning International Friendship Cities Conference officially kicked off. During the opening ceremony, Liaoning Province and relevant cities, together with local cultural and tourism enterprises, signed friendship city agreements, letters of intent for friendly cooperative partnerships, and a series of project cooperation agreements in the cultural and tourism fields with foreign representatives. This conference has elevated the cooperation between Liaoning and its international friendship cities to new heights, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.

During the conference, the journalist delegation of the China International Press Communication Center took an in-depth tour of Shenyang to experience the unique charm of cultural exchange and mutual learning. They experienced the profound industrial foundation of Liaoning at the Industrial Museum of China and witnessed the vigorous development of modern agriculture at the Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
