During the 2025 “Discover China Cultural Tour” of Liaoning for Diplomats in China, a diplomatic delegation from eight countries visited the Liaoning Provincial Museum, viewing exhibitions such as Ancient Liaoning, Affinity of Mountains and Seas · Echoes of the Desert Sands—Meeting Dunhuang in Liaoning, and Splendor of Tang and Song Dynasties—Art World in Digital Paintings.
The diplomats from Laos, Pakistan, Dominica and other countries first visited the Ancient Liaoning exhibition hall to appreciate the precious cultural relics unearthed in Liaoning Province. The guide introduced in detail the connection between these cultural relics and Liaoning’s history and culture, allowing the diplomats to immerse themselves in Liaoning’s splendid and profound history and culture.
At the exhibition hall of Splendor of Tang and Song Dynasties—Art World in Digital Paintings, famous paintings from the Tang and Song dynasties in China, such as The Nymph of the Luohe River, Lady of Guoguo on a Spring Outing, Court Ladies Adorning Their Hair with Flowers, and Auspicious Cranes, unfolded in front of the diplomats with vivid and stirring digital images, making them praise profusely. The Liaoning Provincial Museum created this digital full-coverage exhibition hall by using high-tech means. Ten special exhibition areas were set up in the hall, including “Luohe Beauty”, “Silk Clothing in Late Spring”, “Reading Yi Jing by Autumn Window”, where the diplomats reveled in the beauty of famous paintings passed down through the ages.
The diplomats spoke highly of the venue construction and public welfare services of the Liaoning Provincial Museum. As an important window and platform to highlight Liaoning’s culture, the museum will continue to promote exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations, and better tell the stories of Liaoning and even China to the world through high-quality cultural exhibitions and cultural services.
The “Discover China Cultural Tour” is a cultural exchange brand event initiated by China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2021. Over the past four years, the event has attracted more than 400 diplomats from 103 countries to participate in depth. This time, officials from the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation of China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Liaoning Provincial Public Cultural Service Center accompanied the visit.
