Among the Northeastern Illinois University Delegation’s Photography Journey in China, there is a particularly “special” student named Patricia Ann Stephens. Despite being over seventy years old, her enthusiasm remains undiminished. When LICC journalist Winnie, driven by curiosity, inquired about her reasons for visiting Shenyang, Patricia gave an unexpected answer.
“The first time I came to China was to Shenyang. It was in 2005.” Over the past twenty years, she has visited China seven times, three of which were to Shenyang. “Shenyang has changed so much over the years. I see many 40-story buildings. It’s truly amazing!” However, in the next second, her voice softened. “We don’t come for the buildings, the streets, or even the food. It’s the people that we come for.”
