The exhibition “Shengjing Grandeur: Selected Qing Dynasty Court Treasures from the Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum Collection” is currently on display at Shanghai’s Pudong History Museum. As this year marks the 400th anniversary of the construction of the Shenyang Imperial Palace, 61 pieces (sets) of precious artifacts have traveled 2,000 kilometers for their debut in Shanghai. One pair of gilded bronze luduans, originally collected by the royal family during the Qing Dynasty, features plump bellies and heads raised in a howl. Their adorable figures have captivated numerous visitors.
