Recently, a delegation from Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) brought the mature domestic model of “immersive experience + cultural communication” to Europe, holding the “International TCM Cultural Night Market” in Austria and Slovakia, which offered European people an up-close experience of oriental health preservation.
In the free consultation area, TCM experts provided visitors with body constitution identification and personalized health preservation suggestions; they led visitors to practice health-preserving qigong (a traditional breathing exercise that strengthens the body’s resilience) on site, allowing visitors to feel the exquisiteness of TCM techniques; they also introduced the efficacy of Chinese herbal medicines and demonstrated how to make health-preserving snacks, enabling the visitors to experience TCM culture through tasting and touching. The TCM sachets made on site became popular “cultural tokens”, sparking local people’s strong interest in TCM.
