On the evening of July 24, 2025, the famed French pianist Richard Clayderman’s piano concert, themed “Forever Love”, was performed at the Zhonghua Theatre in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. This musical feast transcending national boundaries attracted numerous music fans.
The concert kicked off with Clayderman’s iconic romantic piano melodies, instantly igniting the atmosphere. During the nearly two-hour performance, he not only performed his classic pieces, such as A Comme Amour and Ballade pour Adeline, but also presented an exquisitely adapted Chinese piece The Butterfly Lovers.
The climax of the performance featured Clayderman’s specially composed Rose and Jasmine. He ingeniously combined La Vie En Rose, which symbolizes France, with Jasmine that represents China, composing a touching melody of Sino-French friendship through the piano. As an international pianist who has adapted the largest number of Chinese musical pieces, Clayderman has built a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and France with piano music, expressing the deep friendship between the peoples of the two countries with art.
